Waikiki, Hawaii
When we first stepped into this Waikiki condo, the structure offered great bones and a prime location, but the interiors lacked the warmth and personality that would connect with travelers. The space felt more like a stopover than a home. We saw an opportunity to draw from the natural beauty outside its walls—the mountains, ocean, and sky—and bring that energy indoors. The lanai, with its panoramic views and daily rainbows, was already the star of the property, so the goal was to make every room flow toward it, both visually and emotionally.
Our vision centered on capturing the free-spirited character of island travelers while creating a calming retreat. The bedroom was softened with a dark sand palette, complemented by boho accents and draped textiles to evoke a grounded, tranquil feel. In the living room, a blue feature wall and teal sofa reflected the ocean and mountains, with the furniture layout guiding the eye toward the lanai. This balance of color, texture, and orientation turned the condo into more than just a stay—it became a reflection of Hawaii itself, where relaxation and discovery meet.
